Laura D’Agostini – Director of New Works

Laura has worked professionally as an actor, both regionally and in New York City.  In 1998 she returned to Utah to finish her degree at Brigham Young University and received her BFA in Theatre Arts in 2001, with a focus on playwriting.  She received BYU’s Award for Excellence in Playwriting in 2000 for her one-woman play Hard to Follow, which was produced as part of BYU’s program for the Edinburgh Theatre Festival.  Laura received BYU’s Award for Excellence in Playwriting again in 2001 for her comedy-drama, Them That are Born of Women.

As the Sting and Honey Company’s Director of New Works, Laura is wholeheartedly dedicated to creating opportunities for playwrights young and old, and delighted to assist with the development of new plays for Utah audiences.
